At 17, Carolyn left her hometown to study law in the city. After graduation, she joined a law firm but grew disenchanted with a system that denied many legal aid and charged high fees. Determined to make a change, she envisioned a ‘non-profit law firm.’ In 2009, Carolyn fearlessly established Australia’s first non-profit law firm, New Way Lawyers
Now serving as CEO, Carolyn’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and admissions to practice in the High Court of Australia and two state Supreme Courts. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters in Human Services, specialising in non-profit management.
Recognised and awarded for her work, Carolyn speaks at conferences and events. She also regularly volunteers and gives back through “Lunch with a Lawyer,” as she strives to provide free family law information. Her deepest desire is to help families facing separation and divorce by, offering accessible and caring legal services.
